with my father as a kid helping him hunt down orignial oem parts for his 67 big block vette, I realize the value of hanging on to stock parts. He finally has the car all stock and bloomington certified, which makes it worth a lot more money. It wasnt easy though when the parts had to be within a 3 month manufacturing radius of the cars manufacture date. One day the Z is sure to be a collector and even if you don't keep the car, the parts might be of interest to the next buyer. Another good reason is if you decide to sell the car, you can put it back to stock, and carry over some of the parts to your next car, or sell them. The pop charger could easily be retrofitted on another make car. Just my $.02
